This circuit enables the Counter Module to be used as an accurate digital timer. The circuit waveforms are shown in the green panels.

The time signal to be measured is applied to the Start / Stop input. The AND gate combines this signal with the clock signal from an oscillator circuit. The resulting output is a burst of clock pulses with a duration equal to the length of the time signal.

If the oscillator is running at 1KHz, the counter display will show the length of the time pulse in milliseconds.
